Before the first skiers return to the slopes, Méribel enters a quieter, more intimate season. In October, the valley is transformed by shades of red, orange and gold, revealing a completely different side of the Alps. It is the perfect time to rediscover the mountains in peaceful surroundings, while Hôtel Le Tremplin gradually prepares for the excitement of winter.

Méribel in Autumn Colours

Far from the bustle of the summer holidays and ski season, autumn reveals a quieter and wilder side of Méribel. The forests change colour, the light becomes softer and the trails regain their peaceful atmosphere.

Among the area’s must-see landscapes, the Plan de Tuéda Nature Reserve is particularly worth exploring. At this time of year, the Swiss stone pines take on beautiful red and orange hues, while the lake and surrounding peaks create a spectacular autumn setting. Some trails may be temporarily diverted in 2026 due to ongoing works, so remember to check conditions before setting out.

Hiking enthusiasts can also explore the trails around Méribel or admire the scenery from the Col de la Loze before winter arrives. At altitude, weather conditions can change quickly, so warm clothing and checking the forecast and trail conditions remain essential.

Before Winter Returns to Le Tremplin

In the heart of the resort, just 50 metres from the main ski lifts, Hôtel Le Tremplin will soon return to its winter setting. Its contemporary atmosphere, inspired by traditional Savoyard style, and its spa with sauna, jacuzzi and hammam make it an ideal address for the ski season.

While waiting for the first runs of winter, October offers a very different spectacle: a peaceful and colourful mountain landscape, suspended between the final days of autumn and the first snowfalls.
