With its more than 600 km of ski slopes, its numerous sports facilities, swimming pool, ice rink, bowling, golf, equestrian centre, and its countless hiking and mountain biking trails, Méribel is a natural paradise for sports enthusiasts, as you will notice during your stay at the Hotel Le Tremplin. However, obtaining the “Terre de Jeux 2024” (Land of the 2024 Games) certification means even more than that.

Opening sport to as many people as possible

The “Terre de Jeux 2024” certification aims to give the occasion of the Paris Olympics a truly national dimension. To attain this goal, it encourages and rewards the creation of links, actions and exchanges between the world of local sport, in all its forms, and communities. Méribel, which has been an Olympic sports location since 1992 and the Albertville Winter Olympics, was a natural to join in with this very worthwhile project.

Done and to come…

Méribel is committed to ensuring that the “Terre de Jeux 2024” certification received this winter is not limited to mere words. As early as the final of the Ski World Cup last March, 300 schoolchildren were invited by the Department to attend the events. On this occasion, they met great champions from a wide variety of disciplines, such as handball player Bertrand Gille, runner Christophe Lemaître and skier Alexis Pinturault. Other initiatives of this kind will punctuate the period leading up to the 2024 Summer Olympics and open up sport of all kinds to the widest possible public.

A stay at the Hotel Le Tremplin in Méribel means plentiful opportunities to engage with sport but also with wellbeing and relaxation. In this unspoiled natural environment, come and discover the initiatives carried out by the town under the “Terre de Jeux 2024” certification and we can get ready to enjoy, together, the exciting Olympic year that’s coming.
